Indonesian Nasi Goreng With Shrimp Paste

Shrimp paste ! Oh my God ...


Ingredients

1 Cup long grain rice, rinsed
Eggs, make an omelette
Cucumber, thickly sliced

1 Teaspoon shrimp paste
1/4 Teaspoon sugar
2 Tablespoon Vegetable oil
1/2 Teaspoon Salt 


Chillie Sauce
2 Garlic cloves
6 Shallots
5 Red peppers / chillies
1 Tomato 


Directions
1. Cook rice untill just tender
2. Transfer the rice to a tray and cool to room temperature.
3. Garlic, shallots, red peppers / chillies, blended (Chillie Sauce)
4. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over high heat.
5. Add chillie sauce and shrimp paste, stir fry until aromatic.
6. Add sugar and salt, stir fry
7. Add rice, stir fry until rice is heated through.

Serving
1. Spoon nasi goreng onto serving plate
2. Serve with omelette and cucumber
3. If you like, top with fried shallots
